Snip Snip?

I’m thinking maybe of cutting my hair short again. For me, it’s so much more versatile.  Not to mention that my hair’s so straight and fine, that once it gets past where it’s at now, there’s not much it will allow me to do to it, resulting in a ponytail or messy bun 6 days out of 7.

There were 2 cuts I had, that I really liked.  The first (L) is super short, and the second (R) has more length on top and in the front.  Observe:

I suppose right now my only options are to cut it like it was in the L shot, or stop getting my bangs trimmed and then cut it like it was in the R.  Hubs has let me know that he likes it shorter better than with bangs (currently, my hair’s pretty much the same as it is in my banner above).

Color of course, would likely stay the same as it is right now, because I dig this color.

What do you think I should do? VOTE!

New boots… no head ;)

Check out my new boots!  They’re awesome!  I’m going to wear them to work tomorrow with… well, I’ll blog it as an Everyday Style entry 😉

And since my head was cut off in that shot, here’s a headshot, mascara only, taken with my new 5MP cameraphone:

Off to take the dog out and relax… have a good night!  Oh, and keep a look out for a great “Get the Look” tomorrow afternoon!

Upcoming Stuff & MOAR!

First, I’m finally on FaceBook! If you’re a reader, I’d love for you to send me a friend request there!  I’m Rachel Jay there 🙂

Second, I’d like to give a shout out to VaVaVroom Clothing, who’s got yours truly featured twice on their home page, plus in the video that’s linked there right now!  Here’s a screenshot (I snagged it where they show me in the video too haha!):

You can also check the site out yourself at www.vavavroomonline.com!  They have such cute stuff!

Third, I’m getting a haircut this weekend! I’m still going to be working on growing the mop out, but I want something a little more tailored and fun (less mop, haha).  It’s going to be way cute.  I’ll post pics, likely Sat evening, so don’t worry.

The modeling workshop last weekend was a success! I’ll likely be putting on a few more, so keep an eye out!

I’m modeling for a boudoir workshop Sunday. That’s going to be a ton of fun!  The photographer who’s hosting is a ton of fun, it’s at a private residence, and there are going to be some great photographers there.  I’m looking forward to it.

And last but not least, if you’re in Chicago for Halloween, you should come to Heat Nightclub from 7-9P! It’s the montly M&G with a twist!  Heat has given us the entire club from 7-9P, so it’ll be an awesome VIP bash!  We’re going to have food and drinks available, a raffle, a costume contest, and more!  RSVP here!

Growing Out My Hair

In case you haven’t noticed in some of my newer pics, I’m growing my hair out.  Or at least, starting to. We’ll see how far I get.*  Bottom line is, I’m due for a change, the other half doesn’t like my hair super short, and I kinda miss being able to just pull it back into a pony and go.  So, the logical choice is to grow it out.

Here it is right now.  I’m just about at chin-length, but with all the layering it’s a bit shorter technically.

Thanks to Dave Converse/Lumigraphics for the shot (from this past weekend) 🙂  More from the set to come… later.

It’s already driving me nuts, and I just want to cut it all off.  Mostly because there’s not much it likes to do aside from flipping out, and it’s too short to pull back still (again, all the layers).  It’s cute flipped out, but that doesn’t last very long and I hate wearing my hair the same way every day.  But I’m going to hold off as long as I can.  Again, it’d be so nice to be able to throw it up into a pony or half-pony and go.  But then again, styling-wise I’m very limited.  I’m simply not as good at doing my hair when it’s long versus when it’s short.  For me, short hair is so much easier.  :sigh:  Oh well… we’ll see if I can handle this growing out thing.

*For those who don’t know, my hair’s stupidly straight.  It rarely holds a curl longer than a few hours, and doesn’t like to be curled under, flipped out, or even permed for long periods of time (I got a perm once, about 5 years ago, and while it looked fantastic, it just didn’t last long–at 6 weeks I had to straighten it all because it just looked blah).  To top it off my hair’s also very fine.  I have a lot of it, but it’s just so fine that it’s hard to get a decent amount of volume and body.  And I’ve tried it all, really.
